Activation – Note:

Checking for updates and installing before activation will wield the best results
1. Click on Start icon and select Settings (cog/gear icon) / Update & security (bottom left) / Activation (left panel)
2. Select Activate product key or Change the product key.
3. Enter the 25 digit code displayed above.
It is possible that the key might need to be entered in Offline mode. This can be enabled by typing “Flight mode” in the
Start Menu and selecting options in the menu that shows. (If on Ethernet/wired connection, you can just pull the wire out of your computer) As a last resort, please restart your PC and check for updates again. Thank you.
For some reason, some preinstalled versions have issues activating, but a fresh install will always work.
In case of any problems with key activation, please try phone activation instead.

Here is how you can find it:

1. Click on Start icon -> select Settings/Update; security/Activation.
2. Select Activate by phone.
3. Select your country from drop-down menu and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Call the toll free number and follow instructions to activate your Windows.
If you are having any issues with the first two steps, you could also try following:
Open Run window (can also be found under Start), type in SLUI 04 and follow with enter. The rest of the steps should be
the same. If you use a USB drive due to the size FAT32 format will not work. The file size is 4 GB.
Sometimes, Keys get compromised and Microsoft deactivates those keys and issues replacement.
